Latino Connection Georgia

Latino connection Blog

LATINO CONNECTION GEORGIA started as a digital project to serve as a tool for English speakers to learn about key topics affecting the Latino/Hispanic community in Georgia as well as a platform to highlight success stories, grassroots non-profits, specific initiatives and programing as a way to raise awareness of innovative thinking, community develoment and a positive narrative in general.

Since 2014, Latino Connection Georgia has evolved into a more robust platform of information for both Latino-serving professionals as well as Hispanic/Latino families looking for language appropriate and culturally competent services and programs.

In 2017, Latino Connection Georgia becomes a non-profit dedicated to build capacity, leverage collaborations, increase civic participation and representation and ultimately increase investment in Latinos/Hispanics in the state in addition to continue representing a Latino voice on key issues affecting state residents.

Personally, as well as a group of vetted local speakers, we are happy to provide a positive and relevalt voice for Latinos and women in Georgia.  A sample of speaking engagements, panels and media coverage we have participated in include:

  • The Coca-Cola Company Hispanic Heritage Celebration (panelist)
  • Monthly Meeting Multi-Cultural Atlanta, Mexican Consulate (speaker)
  • Casa de España “Dia de la Mujer” Luncheon (speaker)
  • Emory University, Family Medicine Class: Cultural competence and Hispanic (speaker)
  • Georgia Tech, Latino Entrepreneurship Marketing and Design Class. (speaker)
